NEW ALBANY — Koerber’s Fine Jewelry celebrated its grand reopening last week after months of construction and expansion.

The move is the largest in the family-owned store’s 30-year history.

“Customers often compliment us on our cozy, welcoming environment,” said Jacquelyn Koerber, the company’s chief operating officer. “But over the last few years, we’ve simply outgrown our space.”

With the newly expanded footprint comes a more relaxed, lounge-like experience for customers who are often making large purchases. Koerber’s Fine Jewelry has also expanded its inventory, including new designer lines like Alexis Bittar, Tacori 925 and Dabakarov.

In addition to new product offerings, the renovations include a new fireplace, bar, seating area for guests and more office space.

“Even though the space is much bigger, it still feels cozy and friendly,” Koerber said.

Koerber’s Fine Jewelry has twice reached the top three in the annual “Best Businesses under 25 Employees” with One Southern Indiana, the area chamber of commerce. The jewelry store has also received recognition as the “Best Fine Jewelry Store in Floyd County” from the News and Tribune and first place out of 44 nominees in the 2010 Best of Kentuckiana category for “designer jewelry.”

Koerber’s Fine Jewelry is located at 3095 Blackiston Mill Road, New Albany. Learn more about the company at >koerbersfinejewelry.com or call 812-945-5959.
